Anchorage Community Theatre's 2016/2017 Season
We have put together an exciting and diverse season of shows for you this year and we are so excited to share it with you. You'll see a stage full of drama, mystery, music, laughter, and fantasy.

Laura Vera Caspary and George Sklar (September 23 - October 16, 2016)
Laura, based on the novel by Vera Caspary was adapted into a film of the same name in the 1940's. This murder mystery follows a detective as he investigates the brutal death of a beautiful young woman - Laura. He falls in love with the dead Laura only to find out that she's not dead...and, in fact, she's a prime suspect in the murder that took place in her apartment.

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe C.S. Lewis (November 18 - December 11, 2016)
C.S. Lewis's beloved novel charms us with the tale of four young children sent to an old farmhouse in the English countryside during the Second World War. They fight their boredom with a trip to a magical kingdom through an old wardrobe where they become kings and queens and the animals talk.

Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill Lanie Robertson (February 3 - 19, 2017)
Just four months before her death Billie Holiday performed at Emerson's Bar and Grill. This small intimate musical gives us a glimpse into that performance. We see Billie at her best and her worst as she battles her demons onstage but continues to sing with all the grace and talent that made her a legend.

The Best of Everything Julie Kramer (March 24 - April 9, 2017)
Adapted from Rona Jaffe's 1958 novel, The Best of Everything gives us a glimpse into the Mad Men era through the eyes of the women. A group of secretaries and assistants struggle against the social pressures of their time - falling in love, getting promoted, making and losing friends. A dreamy and meaningful look into the past that will leave you wondering how much has really changed.

Things My Mother Taught Me Katherine DiSavino (May 5 - 28, 2017)
