Colby Bleicher, Community Outreach Director
Colby Bleicher was born in Anchorage, graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, and returned home to combine her passion for making theatre with her love for the community that raised her. Colby recently directed ACT's I Hate Hamlet and Blithe Spirit, as well as shows for TBA Theatre, Cyrano's Theatre Company, STAR (Standing Together Against Rape), and Blue Chair Productions, which she founded in 2016. Colby believes theatre, besides being a lot of fun, is a powerful tool which can be used to educate, solve problems, form bonds, heal trauma, affect social change, and strengthen communities.
Rochelle Connery, Associate Director
Rochelle was raised in Anchorage and truly loves Alaska. Even though this is home, she does make it a priority to leave Alaska once a year. This can be problematic because she loves to travel, but is scared of flying. Rochelle has a BA in Elementary Education, but is spending this season of life working with community theatre. She is not an actor, but does enjoy the tech side of theatre. She believes that money is better spent on experiences and not on things. Community theatre is an experience that everyone can invest in.
