Happy Springtime in Alaska! ACT is putting on ‘The Nerd,’ our final show of the season. This hilarious popular comedy by Larry Shue opens Friday April 25 at 7pm and continues through May 18.<br />

Synopsis:<br />
Willum is overjoyed when Rick, the man he never met, who saved his life in Viet Nam, shows up at his apartment. But his enthusiasm soon disappears, as Rick shows no sign of EVER leaving, and Willum's patience, composure, and temperament grow thin. It’s ‘The Man Who Came to Dinner’ meets ‘The Odd Couple.’<br />

Actors, men and women, from late 20s to late fifties. And also one 8 to 10 year old to play a very spoiled brat.<br />
This is a really fun show, so don't miss the opportunity to be part of it. If you have a short comedy monologue, bring it, but otherwise be prepared to read cold.<br />

Come Volunteer with ACT!!<br />

Don’t miss out on all the fun and excitement going on at ACT’s production of Mousetrap. We need volunteers to help with box office, concessions, and taking tickets. The show will run Friday, February 15th through Sunday, March 9th. The Thursday thru Saturday showings will begin at 7:00 PM. The Sunday showings will begin at 3:00 PM. As with any ACT production, volunteers are invited to see the show the night they volunteer so long as there is room available in the theatre.<br />

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">After a much-publicized murder, a group of strangers is stranded in an inn during a snow storm. One is the murderer. The suspects include the newly married couple who run the house, a spinster with a curious background, an architect who seems better equipped to be a chef, a retired Army major, a strange little man who claims his car has overturned in a drift, and a jurist who makes life miserable for everyone. Into their midst comes a policeman, traveling on skis. He no sooner arrives, than the jurist is killed. Two down, and one to go. The policeman probes the background of everyone present, and rattles a lot of skeletons. The classic theater whodunit.</p>
