Don't Miss the Hilarious Musical Comedy Murders of 1940.By John Bishop January 29 - February 21, 2010
Directed by Steven Hunt
produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
An ingenious and wildly comic romp which enjoyed a long and critically hailed run both on and Off-Broadway. Poking antic fun at the more ridiculous aspects of "show biz" and the corny thrillers of Hollywood's heyday, the play is a non-stop barrage of laughter as those assembled (or at least those who aren't killed off) untangle the mystery of the "Stage Door Slasher."
"...enormous fun...Its strength comes in part from the sheer diamond wit and diamante showbiz glitter of Bishop's writing. Even his corn is succulently served." -NY Post.
Moonlight and Magnoliasby Ron Hutchinson March 12 - April 4, 2010
Directed by Krista Schwarting
produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
"An affectionate portrait of the legendary movie producer David O. Selznick and his collaborators...a lot of fun...dispenses a good deal of insider's dope on the professional and personal dynamics that fueled the production [of Gone with the Wind]...plenty of genuine wit in the dialogue, and the characters are drawn with such affection that one can't help but cheer for them." -NY Post.
"Frankly, my dear, this is one funny play...a rip-roaring
farce...[with] witty, pointed dialogue and hilarious situations..." -NY
Daily News.

The UnderpantsSteve Martin adapted from Carl Steinheim April 30 - May 23, 2010
Directed by Nate Benson
produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
The renowned comic actor and author of
Picasso at the Lapine Agile provides a wild satire adapted from the classic German play about Louise and Theo Markes, a couple whose conservative existence is shattered when Louise's bloomers fall down in public. Though she pulls them up quickly, he thinks the incident will cost him his job as a government clerk. Louise's momentary display does not result in the feared scandal but it does attract two infatuated men, each of whom wants to rent the spare room in the Markes' home. Oblivious of their amorous objectives, Theo splits the room between them, happy to collect rent from both the foppish poet and the whiny hypochondriac.
"This is funny stuff ... a fine play ... with funny characters and lightning
flashes of wit."-TheaterMania.com.
