Over the years, ACT has been so much more than just a live theatre stage. It’s been a classroom, an event venue, a workshop, and simply a cool place to hang out. But here’s a fun secret: it’s also an incredible place to catch a movie! Thanks to our talented volunteers, we’ve added a top-tier projector, a custom silver screen, and full surround audio to create a truly one-of-a-kind viewing experience. Following the success of our cabaret and karaoke fundraisers, we’re excited to announce our next big adventure: the first-ever ACT Short Film Festival in February 2027!

Theatre and film go hand-in-hand, and we aim to celebrate storytelling in new ways and broaden our community. But also hang out with more creatives on a chilly Alaskan evening, eat popcorn, discuss films, and share a good time!

Have a short film ready to go, or an idea waiting to be filmed? We want to see it!

 Submissions Open: September 1 – December 31

 Film Length: 30 minutes max

 Festival Date: February 17, 2027 at the ACT Studio Theatre

As a one-night-only showcase, screening spots are limited, but we encourage everyone to submit.
